Hi all,

I am by no means someone who understands the ins and outs of GSE very well, but I have made some clumsy modifications to Elfyau’s currently outdated ST and AOE Pact Leader macros here, that seem to have performed very well for me in my first run of normal mode Voidspire. They comfortably outperformed the SBA, and you can see my logs below.

You can use any Pack Leader talent configuration for these macros, though obviously the MT macro will only be relevant if you are talented into Wild Thrash. I run at 100ms.

I had planned to delete this post once Elfyau released their midnight macro for Beast Mastery, but since theirs is for Dark Ranger, I will keep this available as an alternative for those who want to use Pact Leader (I myself do better with Pact Leader for whatever reason).

I also changed mend pet from an Alt modifier to a Shift modifier, which is just my personal preference.

I make use of various talent builds from Wowhead, depending on the context:

Pack Leader Single-Target Raid (Maximised Single-Target Damage e.g. for Vorasius, you can dip into Wild Thrash but I personally found this performed worse on boss fights with adds than just using the Mythic+ talent build)

What am I doing wrong?
I imported it and assigned both to a button, but nothing happens—it doesn’t trigger.

I’m afraid that it is just as likely that you aren’t doing anything wrong, and I’ve just made a mistake somewhere! This is the first time I’ve tried to share GSE macros with others, and I don’t know very much about how it works.

I deleted my macros in-game and re-imported them from this post and they still worked fine for me, so I’m afraid I’m not sure what to suggest, except maybe to open my macro in the GSE Builder and copy the blocks into a macro of your own.

EDIT: Something that came to mind is that perhaps you’ve specified that the macro should only work with specific talents when keybinding it? Mine shows like this:

  1. what talents are you using for this?
  2. i suggest give the sequences a better name than ST and MT. put a personal touch to it. lol

i will test this as soon as i know what talents you used. so can get the best results.

ok so looking at 60k MT substained dps on the MT dummies. and 30k ST substained dps on the raid dummy. this is great. soon as i can get into a N raid and a mythic. we can see how it is in realaction. lol

Thank you so much for making an update macro. Is it possible to make one without misdirect and to use mods “shift” for Wild Thrash and “alt” for Mend Pet please?

I tried to use the GSE builder on this website but I can never understand how it works lol.

Works really well. Thank you so much for your effort and sharing with us. Any chance you could please shar:

  1. Which talents did you use on each boss fight.
  2. Is bestial wrath part of the rotation or its better to use it as a mod key?

Just tested:

No buffs, no BL
ST:

Sim - 39k, TDummy - 36K

MT:

Sim - 107k, TDummy 90K

Thank you! In terms of talents, for the five bosses I’ve done, I used:

Imperator Averzian - Pack Leader Light Cleave
Vorasius - Pack Leader Single-Target Raid
Fallen-King Salhadaar - Pack Leader Single-Target Raid
Vaelgor & Ezzorak - Pack Leader Light Cleave
Lightblinded Vanguard - Pack Leader Mythic+
Crown of the Cosmos - Pack Leader Single-Target Raid (though we only had time for a couple of pulls)
Chimaerus - I haven’t had a crack at this boss yet, but I heard it is add-heavy so I will use either Light Cleave or Mythic+ talents

In terms of Bestial Wrath, it may be slightly better to use it as a mod key, but it is a 30 second cooldown that lasts 15 seconds, so it has 50% uptime, and since I’m lazy I don’t want to be thinking about that all the time just for a very small DPS increase, so I let it fire on cooldown. Delaying using it to wait for a more optimal moment could easily lead to a much greater DPS loss than just keeping it up as much as possible, if you’re not a very focused player.
