[MoP Classic] Monk Lvl 81+ (GSE3)

Monk Sequence for MoP Classic Phase 1

Classic MoP Monk Brewmaster & Windwalker specs - (Sequence Info Below)
This sequence is built with Brewmaster as the default.
If you’re planning to use the Windwalker DPS version, make sure to change the default profile from “Brewmaster” to “Windwalker”.

Brewmaster Monk Sequence Spec Info

  • Goal: Maximize survivability and threat generation by maintaining Shuffle and Tiger Power buffs, efficiently generating and spending Chi, and ensuring quick access to defensive and AoE abilities. The sequence also ensures Black Ox Statue is placed at the start of each encounter for AoE threat and utility.

Core Rotation Includes:

  • Summon Black Ox Statue – Places the statue at your feet once per target to establish AoE threat and enable Provoke utility.
  • Keg Smash – Main Chi generator and high-threat attack; use on cooldown.
  • Expel Harm – Generates Chi and provides a self-heal; use when missing health.
  • Jab – Filler Chi generator when other generators are unavailable.
  • Blackout Kick – Spends Chi to maintain the Shuffle buff for stagger mitigation; prioritize to keep Shuffle active.
  • Tiger Palm – Filler; refreshes Tiger Power buff for increased armor penetration.
  • Breath of Fire – Deals AoE damage and applies a debuff to targets for multi-target situations.
  • Talent Healing Ability – Uses Chi Wave, Zen Sphere, or Chi Burst based on your selected talent.

Modded Keys:

  • Shift = Spinning Crane Kick – Use for AoE threat and damage generation.
  • Alt = Guard – Use for an absorb shield to mitigate burst damage.
  • Ctrl = Zen Meditation – Use for a raid-wide defensive cooldown.

Windwalker Monk Sequence Spec Info

  • Goal: Maximize damage output by efficiently generating and spending Chi, maintaining buffs, and ensuring quick access to key offensive cooldowns and AoE abilities. The sequence also ensures consistent targeting of enemies and optimal use of talent-based abilities.

Core Rotation Includes:

  • Tiger Palm – Filler ability to generate Chi and maintain the Tiger Power buff for increased damage.
  • Rising Sun Kick – High-damage Chi spender; use on cooldown for maximum DPS.
  • Fists of Fury – Powerful channeled attack for burst damage; use when available.
  • Jab – Main Chi generator; use when other generators are unavailable.
  • Blackout Kick – Chi spender for moderate damage; use to spend excess Chi.
  • Expel Harm – Generates Chi and provides a self-heal; use when missing health or as a Chi generator.
  • Tigereye Brew – Offensive cooldown to increase damage; use as stacks allow.
  • Chi Brew – Generates Chi instantly; use when Chi is needed urgently.
  • Talent Healing Ability – Uses Chi Wave, Zen Sphere, or Chi Burst based on your selected talent for additional utility or healing.

Modded Keys:

  • Shift = Spinning Crane Kick – Use for AoE damage and Chi generation in multi-target situations.
  • Alt = Touch of Death – Use to execute enemies below a certain health threshold for guaranteed killing blows.
  • Ctrl = Energizing Brew – Use to restore energy and increase Chi generation for burst phases.

how do you stop the character constantly saying i cant do that yet, not ready yet, ability not ready yet..
Ok googled it.. there is an error speach tick box in options.. just type “error”

but that doesn’t come from the GSE macro. There is an ErrorFilter addon where you can hide these errors so that you can no longer see them.

I apologize but where exactly the string with import code? I mean, for what reason it is not here?
For what reason i should download it again if i already have it? Just to get sequence? What was the exact problem to copy/paste import string here? Mindblowing
And what is funny… after you downloaded files… you have to find out where to put them. I swear, im using GSE since classic re-start. I have never seen anything stupider than this post. And there’s even more… theres a text document with “The following sequences are original creations by Crogin. Unauthorized copying, distribution, or claiming as your own is strictly prohibited” this is what ppl would call Insanity. And finally, after all the nonsense, i’ve tried this sequence… oh boy… who’s saying “It works like a charm” straight up lying and have no idea what a good performing macros is.
It almost never uses keg smash again after first use, it has high priority for spinning crane kick… i cant believe it is so bad. From the very beginning…

Hey, I get that you’re frustrated, but let me explain a few things.

GSE isn’t perfect. If you’ve actually spent time using it, you know it’s not some magic tool that always works the same for everyone. There’s a lot that can affect how a macro/sequence runs, latency, key spam speed, procs, GCD timing, and even your client setup.

As for the import string not being in the post, that’s intentional. Sometimes the sequence is part of a full package that includes multiple specs, icon setups, notes, and other stuff. Everything’s organized in the download. If someone can’t follow simple instructions to install it, that’s not on me, but I can help if further assistance is needed.

The README? That’s just there because people do steal macros/sequences. I’ve had my work and other creators’ work ripped, reposted, or even sold. That kind of thing is what pushed me to release stuff on Curse or Wago in the first place. I’m not trying to gatekeep.. I’m just asking people to respect the time that goes into these sequence not just myself, for all creators.

Now, about the sequence itself, if Keg Smash isn’t going off after the opener for you, I’m guessing it’s due to how you’re running the macro/sequence. I’ve tested it on different setups and it works fine for me and others. But GSE doesn’t guarantee 100% identical performance for everyone. I’m always open to fixes or improvements, but throwing insults isn’t helpful.

Nobody’s forcing you to use what I share. If it doesn’t work for you, that’s totally fine. But if you’re going to trash someone’s work, at least try to be constructive about it.

Edit:
Side note I see you say it has a high priority for spinnging crane kick, how? It’s set to a modded key. Meaning that spell won’t even cast unless you are holding down that mod key.

Just wanted to say that I am using this macro for leveling my Monk, So far there is absolutely no issue with it throwing Keg smash when it needs to be done. I dont often post, but to have all classes with Macros and keeping them up to date! My hat is off to you @Crogin. Thankyou keep up the great work!
