New Antorus 7.3.2 Arms Macro(s), Rend, Trauma, Overpower, All with Execute Phase

I have been trying out a bunch of the macros here. Thank you, all creators and testers! I went ahead and made several of my own and or modifications of others on the site. Give them a try please. Leave Feedback, so adjustments can be made.

My gear is Non-Tier now (running no T20 or T21), just high ilv. stuff. Keep this in mind. Leg. are Head and Execute Ring.

The first macro is the classic “Rend” build.

REND: (cleave was added as a filler as an attempt to maintain correct timing of Rend), I have another version, however, rend is cast too many times. Note: I like to use ravager with this build most of the time, and SS as needed. The “Alpha” macro on the site is very good as well.

Next is a macro that is a modification from a very recent post here, Overpower. I do enjoy this quite a bit. Very little downtime, and seems faster paced. DPS is very close to my Rend macro. This does use “Trauma.”

The last macro is my TRAUMA/FOB macro. It’s my thought from reading, etc. this will be very good once in T21 gear. HOWEVER, this does perform very well on Raid encounters with lots of adds. For example, High Command. I used this on the second week of the opening of Antorus raid (Normal). Again, with no tier gear, ilv. 936ish, I pushed 1.7mil, bursting very, very high at times. Also great for clearing the trash. Mind you, that I’m not a pro, and it was using this macro. Use Ravager and sweeping strikes as well. I would advise not to use this on a single-target boss until you can test with T21. Use the Rend or Overpower build. Note, when using this macro on heavy add bosses, make sure to tab-target each add to apply trauma as you go. Good build for High Command, Eonar, Portal Keeper (if not doing portals).

Final notes: During testing in Order Hall, buffs/consumables were NOT used. All tested on “Raid” Target Dummy. Even with these macros … Rend build, specifically, I find myself under-performing given my ilv. Perhaps it’s tier gear (lack of) or stats need to be adjusted.

As far as macro use, I keybind my main macro (one of the above) to “R”, and my execute to "X.” Keyboard is a Corsair K70. All other abilities are also keybound, ie. MS (“F”), CS (“G”), Rend (Macro to my mouse) … and so on. The above macros are used, but if a priority ability has not been used and is ready a keybound stroke is used immediately. I prefer to control my own use of Ravager/Bladestorm and Battle Cry.

Please test them, in LFR, or Raid Target Dummy. Report Back please ???

(Hoping that I “Blocked” the macros correctly, first post!

Ty for your help.

Hey really wanna try these out but its saying unable to import, just a heads up

Won’t import because all the quotations are incorrect. And no matter how many times you try to tell Druccy not to copy and paste from the site when adding into the code box he never listens.

To stop pages and pages of trying to put this into a code box i will edit the OP’s to a proper code box

Ok now that it’s in code boxes…

What is the point of some of the macros with Battle Cry having a mod for it as well as it being in the body of the same macro. Battle Cry should only really be used when it will marry up with something that will gain benefit from it, like Bladestorm or Ravager. The way you have it it will always be a wasted effort and always on cooldown, so it’s pointless having it as a mod too.

At least marry it up like: /castsequence [mod:shift] Battle Cry, Bladestorm
If you then hold the key key down it will always use Battle Cry and both Bladestorm and Ravager will benefit from it and it will always use BC into BS/Rav then reset back to BC again for the next time they can be used.

Overpower is also mainly a levelling spec, it looks good, feels good as it’s an extra button to push but it will always be slightly weaker than Dauntless and Sweeping Strike in the majority of situations.

Not saying these are bad, they are not but it can be tightened up a little bit to perform a bit better and be smarter about it’s execution

@Cymiryc my apologies for that. Multitasking at the time. Promise to fix errors first. ???

Thank you both for the help and comments

Yes, they do need some fine tuning. The modifier for BC was left in all the Execute Macros … just did not remove it. I added BC to body, to just simplify things during the execute phase. I do understand the timing, and will correct, as you gave the example above. In the main macros, I left as a modifier to let the user decide when to BC, then, BS or Rav. as they see fit.

Also, I did a comparison of my Rend Macro to the Alpha one on the site. I prefer Alpha’s body (Rend has a better uptime), and rotation allows for more slams/ms if I recall. This is after 5 min tests on target dummies. Again, I will update this as well. The Overpower macro is working well, different, and yes, not for serious raiding. I have made changes to my Trauma build as well after raiding this week, and again will repost.

Thanks for the advice! I actually enjoy doing these, and it helps “Perfect” rotation even without using the macros.

Last, can some one tell me how to proper code box these, so I can post updates later???

2 ways to do the code box.

In the window that you type in you will see some buttons. Hit the code button and it will put the accented reverse apostrophe and then paste your code and then hit the same button again and it box it when you hit submit.

Alternatively just hit the button manually it should be next to the 1 on most keyboards, different regions may have different keys obviously
So it would be at the start and then end of the sequence

So, a few noob question… I’ve always played a prot warrior… trying to expand my horizons a little here… These questions refer to the rend build…

  1. Why have victory rush on a modifier? Why not have it just fire when available, since it’s only after a kill.

  2. Why is execute in main macro?

I used the Macro from OP and optimized a little (Colossus Smash first for Dmg Buff). Got some DPS more (~ 5-10%) on Single Target. Will test it this week in raid.
