Oak Ret Pally Dragonflight - It works... Updated for 10.0.7 (3/21/23) - See New Version in Other Thread

Thanks. It’s still not perfect, but no GSE macro will be. It works for what I need it for. I still find myself firing the occasional ability manually when needed. It’ll be interesting to see what kind of changes will be needed with the 10.0.7 class rework.

Been using this on my 394 paladin, both ST and AOE flows really well and are more up to date with the “best” rotation than others in my opinion. Performs well in both m+16 and raid.
Well done mate!

okay got it idk why but this nomod, combat is meh i changed all to nochanneling now its works verry verry well thank u verry much =)

Sorry if these seem like really goofy questions. I’m relatively new to some of the GSE stuff and the new talent tree so bear with me plz… How can you have a talent tree for ST and AOE? When you talk about firing off at 50ms, are you putting that into GSE timing or something like AHK? I’m asking cause I use a Corsair and have mine set to 250ms. I get confused if different macros fire off better with different speeds, do I need to edit my settings on every toon? Once again, sorry if these questions seem goofy, but I’d like to be more of a help in groups that I’ve played with lately. Just LFR dungeons, sometimes I’m not doing too much DPS. Just wondering if I’m doing all of this wrong lol

Hello there. When talking about 50ms, it is indeed the speed set in Corsair and AHK. I pref AHK myself and have scripts made for 50ms all the way up to 275ms for both my “Q” and “E” that I use.
So in my case I start my Q-50ms script and E-50ms script in AHK for this macro.
If its 1-2 mobs I just hold down my Q button for ST DPS, and if its 3+ mobs I hold down my E button.
When it comes to GSE itself its not much settings to do unless you want to modify the macro someone made to deactivate stuff you want to control yourself. In my case that is Divine Toll normally so I just hook off the “Disable block” button
If you look around here on the forum a bit you will see @Elfyau have made a great post explaining how MS works and how to set it up properly

Thank you for the reply! It was most helpful! Can you fill me in on how you can separate ST and AOE talent trees? Basically have one for each? I typically use one (maybe 2) keys for each but I don’t understand how you can have different trees for each option. TIA

there is sadly no way to do that. The swapping I feel is more useful to do if you are pushing hard keys like Library. The tree boss AoE is lovely. For the rest Single target is best. Talent swapping you have to do manually.

Just use the aoe talents. Your not gonna be doing mdi keys with these macros so you can just use the one talent tree and easily be 2500io

With this macro, you would use ST and AE macros with both the talent builds I linked. The only real difference is that the ST Build fires Templar’s Verdict and the AE one fires Divine Storm. You also don’t actually have to use either talent build, use what works for you, the macro should work with most of the currently available talent builds.

In regards to MS, I’ve been using GSE since 2016 and back then it was all about firing the macro as fast as you could. SO this is what I’ve always been used to. Will it work at slower MS? Probably… MS really depends a lot on the user, not the macro writer, so toy with your settings in whatever program you use. I personally use AHK. I have used Logitech and Corsair’s software in the past to do it, but AHK does what I need the best for me.

I’m glad that this macro has worked well for so many. Thank you all for your feedback and comments

The ST and AOE macros switch from using Templar’s Verdict(ST) to Divine Storm(AOE). Many times you can add an AOE modifier in the ST macro, so you only need 1 macro. For example, /cast [mod:shift] Divine Storm

The talents you use (for both macros) depend on the environment you are playing in. Leveling/questing/dungeons normally would use the AOE talents, due to mostly fighting groups or adds. ST talents are used when you are looking to max DPS single targets mostly (Raids, specialty dungeons).

I have found in most cases the AOE talents work for normal players.

Thank you all so much for the replies and details! I really appreciate it! So far I’m really liking these macros. I don’t get to play as much as I’d like so I’m just hit or miss but these macros have really helped me level up my toons fairly quickly!!

Good Morning,
i rebuild it a little bit and lol it works verry good

i have same problem, im 403 and im lacking about 20-25 simulated dps… hehe im even getting hammered by 385 ret palas on singel targets. so i think this macro is spesificly made for the char he is using and gear. i think it needs to be altered by people who wanna use it… problem i dont know how to make macros
