Oathflame’s Assassination Rogue GSE Package – 11.2.7

(Accessible 3-Button Setup: ST + AOE + Burst Priority-Kill)

Created for: 11.2.7 (The War Within)

This package is intended for:

  • Mythic+

  • Raids

  • Dungeons / Timewalking

  • Delves / Solo PvE

  • Leveling / fresh characters (level-friendly checks)

The goal of this setup is to provide an accessible, spam-safe, low-complexity assassination framework that emphasizes:

  • Hold-to-spam stability (anti-stall philosophy)

  • Predictable openers (no stealth breaks, no random movement)

  • Bleed uptime consistency (Garrote/Rupture/CT cadence)

  • Priority-kill control through a dedicated Burst button

  • Poison maintenance that never steals pulls (no mid-combat poison spam)

This is built for people who can’t rely on Shift/Ctrl/Alt and want a clean, consistent flow with as few “gotcha” moments as possible.

Assassination Rogue (Overview)

What This Build Does:

Summary
  • Uses a 3-macro system:

    • ST (single-target + hybrid safe)
    • AOE (pack engine)
    • Burst (priority kill window)
  • Automatically handles:

    • Targeting + /startattack

    • Stealth entry out of combat

    • Poison application only when safe (out of combat + no target/dead target)

    • Level-friendly [known:…] safety checks

  • Explicitly avoids:

    • Shadowstep automation

    • Modifier bloat

    • “One button does everything eventually” desync behavior

What This Build Doesn’t Do:

Summary
  • Does not automate movement abilities like Shadowstep

  • Does not attempt “smart” target swapping beyond basic targeting

  • Does not replace manual utility (kicks/CC/defensives) for high-end play

  • Does not try to be a PvP script (PvP still needs decision-making)

Player Responsibilities:

Summary
  • Kicks, CC, defensives, potions = manual

  • You decide:

    • when to swap ST ↔ AOE

    • when to press Burst (priority kill window)

    • positioning / mechanics (Shadowstep is intentionally manual)

Addons That Pair Well:

Summary
  • Cell / VuhDo / Grid2 (for awareness + triage)

  • WeakAuras (bleed tracking + burst cooldown tracking)

Notes on Burst:

Summary

What the Burst Button Is

  • The Burst macro is a priority-kill tool, not a cooldown you press on cooldown.

It is designed to force a lethal window by stacking:

    • Deathmark

    • Kingsbane

    • Shiv

    • Thistle Tea

    • Vanish → Garrote

    • Trinkets

This creates a short, extremely high-value damage window meant to remove a threat, not inflate meters.

When You SHOULD Use Burst

  • High-priority non-boss enemies

    Examples:

    • Dangerous casters

    • Enrage mobs

    • Lieutenants / mini-bosses

    • Fortified elites

    • Mobs with lethal group damage or debuffs

    If a mob:

    • needs to die first, or

    • will wipe the group if ignored

    :right_arrow: Use Burst

    Boss openers

    • Use Burst on pull

    • Or during a planned burn phase

    • Especially strong when bleeds can fully tick

    Tyrannical / Fortified keystones

    Burst excels when:

    • Bosses live long enough for full bleed value

    • Priority mobs have large health pools

    Solo / Delves

    • Rare mobs

    • Elite pulls

    • Anything you want deleted immediately

When You SHOULD NOT Use Burst

    Low-HP trash

If mobs die before bleeds tick:

    • Burst value is wasted

    • Save it for the next dangerous pack

    Random AoE spam

Burst is not an AoE button.

    If you’re just:

    • clearing filler trash

    • padding damage

    • chain pulling low-threat mobs

:right_arrow: Stay on AOE macro only

During heavy movement / mechanic chaos

    Because Burst includes:

    • Vanish

    • Precise bleed application

    It performs best when:

    • You can stay on target

    • You won’t be forced to disengage immediately

I personally run this using a mouse macro that spams the assigned key. For me, Mouse Button 1 is bound to F9, so holding it down continuously fires the macro

I can be reached on discord Oathflame. So if you have any input, suggestions or running into error’s I will try to address/fix them as quickly as possible.

If you like my work feel free to get me a coffee.

Good evening, I am eager to try this out, but I can’t seem to find the accompanying talent string either on this post or within the macros. Is there any chance you could provide it? Thanks!

You can use the talents from any of the sites. Use whichever you want, its not set to specific talent/builds and meant to be flexible.
