Yea, you’re absolutely right.
After spending some time on this with warrior and paladin, it’s just not in the ballpark it needs to be to be used in place of a high performing macro. I found paladin to be around 70% to sim and warrior to be 75% to sim.
If a certain spec doesn’t have a lot of good sequences from solid creators, it may be a good choice. I pretty much only play warrior/paladin and am going to be sticking to updating my sequences which all get within a few percent of sim.
As an example, I tried with warrior to have GSE handle builders and major cooldowns, and leave spenders to the SBA. What ended up happening was the SBA fighting with the macro sequence for builders and ending up catching the penalty every few builders adding to the overall delay of outgoing skills usage. If they tweak the SBA to be 0.2 instead of .3, that would be a significant increase in outgoing DPS and would enable the SBA to get really close to sim, but still under a high performing GSE sequence.
