Hey!

I am totally new to GSE and I cam across your macro.

I am still in leveling phase so my feedback is from lvl 74/75.

Especially for a beginner like me it would be extremely helpful to understand what the macro is doing and what I have to manually take care of.

Things it seem to be on my side i figured out are:

  • Infernal Strike (jumping)
  • all kind of CC (makes sense…)
  • Meta (?)
  • Firey Brand

Is that correct? Besides that, it feels very comfortable so far :slight_smile:

Yeah you will need to cast infernal strike, Meta and CC’s yourself

Everything else is in the macro rotation

Ah perfect - thanks for the input. That’s exactly how I like it.

It really feels very solid, I am very often on the upper und of the DPS meter while feeling very safe in most situations.

I am coming back when I hit HC/M+ phase and give another feedback. But for all DH Tanks that want an ez pz time tanking use this macro. Highly recommended.

I have used your build and must say I love it, definitely the most tanky one… BUT i feel like aoe damage is lower than the other but surviveability is definitely TOP notch compared to them.

What I would love to see is what the rotation is based on when it come to MS.

Additionally I wonder if you are able to make the build based on the Aldrachi Reaver build?

I have tried to tweak yours alittle and must say i went from 500k dps to 700k+ at AOE target dummies. But surviveability i dont know xD must test in M+
But I think you know the logic behind your rotation better and maybe find how to maximise this build based on Echo guide on maxroll (Aldrachi Reaver)?

Hey there!

I main VDH. Currently ilvl 600. Sim’d my current gear and enchantments at around 325k-350k on a test dummy with no buffs or potions.

Your macro peaks at about 375 for a short burst but then settles at 283k-285k. The sustain is quite amazing as my health never drops below 70% in testing. I also like that the throw glaive is always going so that aggro isn’t always ripped from me in larger pulls.

I feel with a little bit of work this could easily be my all time favorite macro.

I will be running this macro tonight in m0’s and I will update my post to show how well it runs.

I used the Aldrachi Build on Echos guide. This one they are saying is more self absorb and heals etc. and for High Mythic keys. It worked pretty nicely, but as I mentioned earlier needs alot of tuning because I am new to this :slight_smile: tried to rebuild abit on existing code.

I do think however that right now the Fel scarred is bis when reading Methods guide more thoroughly and seeing the 4 set piece etc.

Update

So Ive tested this macro across all forms of content. I have also tried both Fel-Scared and Reaver.

Either hero talent tree provides really nice sustain and aggro. There isn’t really any issues with fury generation or survivability in M0s, Rank 8 Delves, and Normal Raid.

However-
After considerable testing across all forms of content I have found that it lacks a serious degree of damage. After logging my raid tonight I noticed that I parsed drastically lower than the other tank with roughly 130k difference.

At the time of the raid I was ilvl 604 with no set pieces, and not the most ideal trinkets. So these are things to take into account for sure.

I think to properly optimize this macro it would need to have a build for each hero tree.

Below is a 6.25 minute fight against Heroic Ulgrax.

Like with all Macros the best way to optimize is to build your own

Try changing spell priorities and see how that goes

No worries! haha was just constructive feedback with extensive testing. It really is a solid macro for starting a starting VDH.

I’ll work on something using yours as a back bone and post my findings.
