You’ll want to use it before FoF, so what I generally do is if I’m in PvP, I’ll start a 1v1 with paralysis so they trinket, then I’ll hit the leg sweep, pop zenith and let the sequence go all out. That’s usually enough to close the deal and it’ll end with a touch of death.
If you’re doing Mythic+, I’ll start with Zenith and then wait until I get 2 FoF in, then pop the next zenith just before FoF goes off CD. If you look at my tracker, I have them side by side.
On the super rare occasion where you get into a lull and need tiger fury, just have it as a key press and smack it. It doesn’t happen frequently, but it does happen because that’s just the nature of random key presses with GSE and combo point classes. Firing off zenith also fixes it.
What is funny is watching the dmg I was actually going over the sim and like 20 seconds before the 5 minutes, the sequence decided to just auto attack, while waiting for cooldowns and it dropped. So I will do another 5 minute sim to see if it does the same.
As you can see it’s over what my sim is saying I should be doing. So either the quick sim is broken or I have no clue xD … the sim was with no buffs on as well. I’m interested to see what the sim will say, when I replace those green gloves & boots.
Also keep in mind that I engineer the sequence to not need to grab orbs, but if you grab orbs that spawn while running through the mythic Plus, you’re never going to run out and it’ll work flawlessly without any hangups.
One thing I’ve noticed with the Monk, compared to the Fury Warrior for example, is that in some dungeons, the totems do not take damage from Fists of Fury. You have to use something like Blackout Kick or another ability to actually damage them. It’s really infuriating because you lose so much damage while just literally punching midair. It’s awful. I’m hoping the developers actually fix that because it’s quite irritating.
first 2 levels in, feels smooth. Like sailing through the dungeon hitting whatever gets in your way. Cant wait to see how this performs at 90 which will be sometime tomorrow Still kinda afraid for the lock on roll roll or fsp as i mentioned before, dont know how and why that happens, so have to find a solution for it.
Yes, it’s to give time to builders so that you don’t sit on 1 and 2 chi spenders and never get the fist of fury. The way I have it ensures that Fist of Fury almost always fires on CD and times with Zenith. If you run into orbs on the ground, that’ll lessen that pause a bit but it’s only a few seconds and doesn’t really impact the overall damage enough to worry about.
thats not going to change the problem. Even when im at the target then, i still cant move without releasing all pressed. And on flying serpent kick its the same. I have had this issue forever and no clue on what it is. Thats why monk was collecting dust after leveling.
But no worries, almost 90 and then lets see how it sims cause as said, in dungeons atm it feels like im sailing so smooth so im curious, then ill try to find a solution or he collects dust again.
Just a heads up that the sims on the Raidbots website are not working correctly for Monks right now. There is a warning saying they have been updated, but some classes are not simming properly. My Monk feels strong in actual gameplay and is performing close to my Fury Warrior, but the sim output is showing almost 30000 DPS less. So the current Monk sims are not reliable until the issues are fixed.
Yeah they’ve been having an issue with the numbers, even with brewmaster they just kind of guessed, so I don’t think any of the Sims can be trusted right now.
I’m just having fun with the class and I know that the sequence performing well so I’m not even worried about it.
As a sanity check I tested the single button assistant and it was absolute dog water compared.
Hi there. First time ever trying to use GSE sequences. I’ve imported the sequence into the GSE addon, but the sequence itself doesn’t show up when I try to key bind it. What am I doing wrong?
