Orbalisk's - Be Like Water [Mythic+/Raid/PvP] v. 2.1 (Updated 03/15/26)

Bruce Lee was a childhood hero of mine, and since Monk became a class I’ve dabbled with it here and there. I finished some other sequences and wanted to try my hand at Windwalker.

This sequence will work for both Raid and Mythic+. If you like this, I’ll make a PvP variant for everyone. I don’t expect to play Monk much, but wanted this prepped for myself for later.

General gameplay: Fire off the sequence and when your free Spinning Crane Kick procs, just hold LALT to fire it off. I set it up so you can hold it down if you get 2 back to back procs and just power through it. Otherwise, just keep holding that macro down!

I’m sure there is a better way to make Zenith a bit more spaced out, but raidbots isn’t working and the other tools I usually use to tune my sequences can’t exist anymore, so I had to eyeball it.

Everything on monk is on a really short cooldown. Is there anything for a PvP build that you’d want manually fired as opposed to what my rotation does?

I was torn between pally/warrior/dk, but probably pally since I’m most comfortable with it. For PvP I haven’t decided yet.

Just had a chance to play around with this and realized it was earlier than I thought, so I decided to log on for another half hour. I used my night elf monk, which is level 80, with an item level of 121. I am basically still using the leveling gear from the Twilight Highlands event, plus the Reshii Wraps cloak (with the basic fiber add, no enchants etc)

When I went to the cleave target dummies, at the very beginning of the rotation the damage spikes instantly to over 200k and then drops to around 60,000 to 50,000 DPS. After that, it gradually spirals down to about 40,000 to 45,000 DPS. With my current gear and not having the best setup, I average around 30 to 40,000 DPS on the cleave targets over the space of a minute.

That sounds about right for that ilvl. I can’t check where it should be with raidbots so I have to just guess for the moment. The buffs and debuffs look to be rolling properly.

Yeah it would be interesting to see what numbers it would be pulling at max ilvl/bis gear etc.

I made a brew sequence back in Shadowlands I think but haven’t touched it since. I see that it’s possibly S tier for midnight so I’ll give it a shot.

Tightened up skill firing a bit and added an automatic Spinning Crane Kick after the Whirling Dragon Punch since it guarantees the free one. Version 1.2 is at the top for testing.

I’m actually still working on it and will probably have 1.3 up in a few hours.

Ok, 1.3 is at the top. I’m much happier with it’s performance. You should see an increase in DPS.

Please let me know of any hang ups. I didn’t have any, but every system is different.
