I’ve been using GSE for years, back when it was string macros and long sequences.

Can you please, for the love of God, check your “updates” to actually see if they work?

Every time this happens, there are no answers on how to fix this or resolve the issues.

Now GSE is completely broken, and there is an import screen (which also doesn’t work) and even the close window “X” doesn’t work.

Can you provide direct links to the former GSE repository, as well as instructions on how to restore the macros (which took a long time to write for every class, as WoW hardcore is completely unsupported in the forums for macros)? Now, is there a way to decode the crappy “mystery” string? Nope !

If you want to do something positive, how about some backward compatibility for the original game that hasn’t changed in 20+ years? Or a string decoder — if you made the original algorithm, you could do a universal compatibility or backward-compatibility updater. This looks more like ai garbage as time progresses, as there are no answers or solutions ever.

An addon update shouldn’t erase sequences by itself; close WoW and back up the entire WTF folder before changing versions. Check WTF/Account/<account>/SavedVariables/ for GSE saved-variable files. If the import window is frozen, share a screenshot plus the exact GSE and WoW versions; that helps distinguish a UI failure from missing saved data.
