Protection Paladin Lightsmith GSE – Mythic+ and Raid Updated 26/9/26

AS Protection Paladin Lightsmith – Mythic+ Balanced

This is my balanced Lightsmith Protection Paladin sequence for Mythic+. It has been adjusted after reviewing my dungeon logs and comparing the cast profile against high-key Protection Paladins.

The update gives Holy Armaments, Judgment and Shield of the Righteous more opportunities to cast while reducing unnecessary Consecration spam.

Automatically handled

  • Shield of the Righteous

  • Judgment

  • Blessed Hammer

  • Hammer of Wrath

  • Consecration

  • Holy Bulwark

  • Sacred Weapon

  • Basic rotational priority

Holy Bulwark and Sacred Weapon are checked twice during each sequence loop. The macro will attempt whichever Holy Armament is currently available.

Manual abilities

These have deliberately been left out so they can be used at the correct moment:

  • Divine Toll

  • Avenger’s Shield

  • Sentinel or Avenging Wrath

  • Rebuke

  • Word of Glory

  • Ardent Defender

  • Guardian of Ancient Kings

  • Divine Shield/Final Stand

  • Lay on Hands

  • Blessings and other utility

Avenger’s Shield is manual so it can be saved for priority interrupts, silences, dangerous casts and important pulls. Divine Toll is also manual so it can be paired with Sentinel or used for snap threat and emergency control.

Recommended repeat speed

I use:

  • Razer Naga Turbo: 20 presses per second

  • Equivalent delay: 50 ms

  • GSE sequence type: Sequential

  • Hold the assigned button while fighting

If 50 ms causes input issues, try 75–100 ms. Do not change the sequence itself at the same time, otherwise it becomes difficult to compare results.

Notes

This is intended to handle the repeatable core rotation while leaving encounter decisions under the player’s control. It will not replace active use of Avenger’s Shield, Divine Toll, defensive cooldowns, healing or utility.

Because GSE cannot read your buffs, Holy Power or cooldown state, it cannot guarantee a perfect priority rotation. The additional checks simply give important abilities more opportunities to fire when they are available.

Feedback and Warcraft Logs are very welcome, particularly:

  • Holy Bulwark and Sacred Weapon casts

  • Shield of the Righteous uptime

  • Judgment casts per minute

  • Consecration casts and uptime

  • Any noticeable pauses or repeated failed casts

  • The key level and repeat speed used

Hi, I’ve tried it out in a few dungeons now. It’s running really well! What MS are you running it at? And can you get Blessed Hammer and Judgment set up so they’re used almost on cooldown?

Hi, thanks for testing it and for the feedback!

I’m currently running it using Razer Naga Turbo set to 20 presses per second, which works out at roughly 50 ms between presses.

Judgment is already weighted quite heavily throughout the sequence, and Blessed Hammer is included in both the main rotation and the Consecration cast sequence. In my latest dungeon log, Judgment averaged 10.5 casts per minute and Blessed Hammer averaged 9.8 casts per minute.

I can test increasing their priority further, but I don’t want to add extra copies blindly because that could delay other important abilities or reintroduce gaps. If you can share a Warcraft Logs cast export from one of your runs, I can compare your cast rates with mine and see whether the sequence or your keypress speed is causing the difference.

def check this out a bit later your holy seq rocks

Let me know how it goes for you.
