ok let me look into it. I dont see the drop on single target.

But i wanted to mention something in the single target rotation that i seem to have forgotton so i will update the OP… Check it out after i repost and give me feed back

So it’s been a while since I last posted, and in that time I’ve been able/(lucky enough) to get the emerald dreamcatcher and a few more legendaries. So with access to all the DPS focused legendaries us boomies have access to I’m leaning to the conclusion that in the latest patch, ED isn’t really as powerful anymore as say OI (the other legendary I have is Fel). The main reason is cause in the new traits they have significantly focused Starfall and buffed it’s damage, making it more prudent to use than before.

Earlier it would only make sense to use Starfall in 3+ mob pull situations, but I’m finding that keeping the Starfall buff (can’t remember the name exactly right now) up as much as possible on mobs is much more beneficial than before (the new traits have specifically impacted the synergy of the buff with our other spells). While I’m still not entirely convinced that Starfall is still prudent in purely single target encounters (need more testing), in 2+ situations it makes more sense to use.

Which is why the free Starfall/starsurge proc that OI offers is more useful (IMHO) than the ED Starsurge procs. The only way I see the ED pulling ahead again is if we have the 4 piece T19 set bonus. But getting that at higher ilvls (I’m currently 905) while ensuring ur maintaining ~30% haste is proving to be really difficult (damn nighthold heroics have been deserts for me recently).

Anyways in all this time having used all of the macros posted here I keep coming back to the 2 Taco has posted in this thread (which is why I am posting this here). There are a few tweaks I’ve made to the OP macros (which I’ll post shortly), but in essence what they do is put both Starfall and starsurge on separate key modifiers thereby allowing for us to be able to use either depending on the situation (considering how they both use the astral resource, it is essentially a pick and choose scenario).

Let me know what you guys think, am always looking for alternative ideas. Just one final note, I am basing all of the above off of in-game (live) experience (no Sim’s)

Im waiting for my drop my self, but im thinking along the same lines as you. Especially since there will be a buff to StarSurge in 7.2.5 get the mac amount out them will push the single dps up a large bit i think

yeah I have tested out your macros and DreamKin 7.2.5 is now unsuported since 7.3 - Patch 7.0+ - WoW Lazy Macros
and I have to say that I get better dps with AOE and ST with Darkonius’s macros… I am ilvl 900

I find that your macros output too many Solar Wrath and not enough Lunar Strike and if not paying attention you waist Lunar Strike charges.

so according to the theory crafting the single target is not supposed to use lunar strike unless its to utilize the charges. So what I do is keep that on a modifier which solves your problems perfectly.
