Targeting @focus and targetenemy

Trying to set up targeting so when in a dungeon i @focus tank and get his target. But when have to target adds i can hit [mod] and autotarget the adds.

/assist [nomod] [@focus]
/targetenemy [mod:shift]

Blizz either messed up or removed @focus. its only @player and @cursor now. if they have changed that, then i didnt know and you can disregard this message.

That’s actually not true @Siodar

@player and @cursor are the only options for AoE targeted spells and abilities. Eg Blizzard

@focus @target @mouseover @player work for single target spells.

Having said that though these only work if you have action targeting turned off in your UI. There may be some other new features (and potentially mods) that also need to be turned off.

Thank you for clarifying that Tim. i hadnt heard it was that way.

you probably want

/assist [nomod,@focus]
/targetenemy [mod:shift]

You have nomod or @focus where probably you want nomod and @focus

YES! OMG so simple i forgot that bracketing each meant OR… thank u

I want to do this to my macros. I dont know much about making macros I just usually copy peoples already made macros so editing them is a whole new ballgame for me. Would I put the /assist in each block or just make a new block as number 1 with those commands in it?

It depends on what you want to do with the /assist.

I would suggest becoming familiar with the combat and targeting sections of this Macro commands - Wowpedia - Your wiki guide to the World of Warcraft
