Tim - Do we use the new TWW GSE 3.2 version for the pre-patch and wait to upgrade GSE until TWW is fully released? Or should we be using this version now?

There do not seem to be alot of TWW sequences working at this point or at least no section for TWW here.

Thank you for all you and the team does to support the WOW Community!!!

This isnt my site so I cant speak to what is here or not. I don’t run it, manage it, admin it.

If you want to use GSE you need to be running 3.2 from now. NOTHING you have from before will work in PrePatch. If you need help I would suggest GSE’s GitHub or GSE’s Discord. Neither of them have anything to do with this site.

There are a lot of people converting to the new version but if yours is custom or you don’t want to wait (usually one to two weeks for most that are still being updated) you can import a working version for your spec, than import the old version you liked. In each block copy and paste the old block text into the new macro.

There are some limitations such as character limits and some things that worked previously don’t anymore but over all its worked very well for the core rotational abilities. Its a great time to fiddle around with how macros work and learn what goes on in making them.

I have a question, Why is there a delay in the new GSE for when you press the hotkey that you assigned to the macro and when it starts? its kinda annoying. Its like 1-2sec delay before it starts the macro and targets the enemy. I have tried to change the keypress delay in ms but no change.

Neither of my macros have any delay at all in them and target the nearest enemy and use the first ability as soon as the button is pressed.

My guess is there is an ability in the macro you don’t have or a line is causing it to stall. Alternatively it could be a setting. To tell which I would probably import a different macro and see if that also stalls if it does its likely a setting if not than it was the macro.

If it is the macro I’d look through it and see if any line remains white in the text color (this means it doesn’t work,) you can also look for any /cast followed by a number and delete that line or block because its not a spell you use.

You are right, I tested a different macro now and it fires as soon as I press the button. Will go through the macro that is giving me this headache! Thanks alot.

OKay so this is what I understand I import the string. And then It used to make a macro for me then I used to drag that icon onto my action bar… Now I’m completly Lost… Ther no instructions to make the macro that i can press… This is confusing.

There was a BIG MASSIVE BOX ingame when you logged in that told you that that method wouldn’t work. You actively had to hit “Do not show this again” to make it go away. There are also the pages on the GSE Wiki located on GitHub.

where was this box? in the game?
I give up, this is not what im asking is there a video that can SHOW Me step by step

Thanks for the wiki update and all the work associated with the changes, the wiki entry is a very good explanation

Every sequence I import into GSE 3.2 dissapears when I log in the next time. They aren’t gone, since when I import the sequence again it says “updated to the new version” but the sequence window remains empty.
