This gives you a ton of self healing, lots of defensive’s, some offensive CD’s and still provides utility.
You can swap reinvigoration (or brambles) for dream of cenarius for more party healing. If you do this replace HotW with protector of the pack.
You can drop rage of the sleeper for pulverize on tyrannical weeks or in raids.
I’ve seen some people pick up galactic guardian as it sims the highest dps (at least from what I’ve heard, I tend to ignore moonfire in aoe pulls though.)
You can drop HotW, a point in well honed instincts, and improved stampeding roar and a point in nurturing instincts to pick up Natures vigil.
You can drop HotW, a point in well honed instincts, and improved stampeding roar to pick up remove curse if you need it for the affix.
Typhoon can also be dropped, running it this week for spiteful. It can get changed out to pick up hibernate.
On single target raid fights drop Raze for pulverize instead.
There is a lot of room to play with depending on if you pug, who your healer is, group comp, key level, dungeon and affix for the week.
The full release of the macro will have a single target and AoE templates. Don’t know if it’s better to split into two macros to make it easier to have both on a keybind.
I used the test macro on a 17 FH last night and had 103k overall:
It’s casting way too many swipes at the moment, that quantity of casts should probably be down at 100 ish. It’s such a low prio cast in the current iteration of Guardian that it’s very rare that there isn’t a better button to press.
On the topic of AoE/ST, would it not be easier to just have Raze on one modifier and Maul on another? That would make it pretty straightforward to choose how you are dumping rage/using Tooth and Claw procs.
Really good work so far though, it’s not far from a masterpiece
We are really short on modifiers though. So short in fact that Regrowth is likely to be only mouseover. With the Swipes, I tried to strike a balance between Swipes taking over the more useful abilities and not having enough filler Swipes. I feel like this is pretty decent, especially since now Mangle and Thrash are always one Swipe away, except for some rare occasions.
First of all thank you so much for hard work Viktri!! your Guardian macro have been blessing for me! I think allso 1 template would be better witch use Raze (AoE) and when u press shift it changes raze to Maul. Ctrl could be Frenzied Regeneration and alt Incapacitating Roar… Sorry If I make my self stupid coz really I have no idea how these macros are made But what ever you do with this macro I know I will use it untill I quit WoW for good
I think I’ll probably have Raze on one mod and and Maul on another and move Frenzied Regen on to a standalone keybind. But obviously that is all completely personal preference.
You are the brains behind the operation though Viktri, I have no idea how to do any of the other stuff, you do it how you see it best and I’ll tinker with it to suit.
I would think with raze/maul being in the main body of the macro it would be difficult to use as a modifier.
Either way you do it we can always fork it in the other direction (whether modifiers or using separate macros) and post them for others provided we have your blessing. Not sure why but that sounds a bit like the godfather.
Community effort and all. Just let us know if you need any help with anything including testing.
Yeah I gave up on that one for the time being. I didn’t care for the changes from a buff to fracture stacks. It makes it difficult to macro on a class that was already known for being squishy.
Bear is a lot better spec to use for lazy macros. I’m just hoping talent trees don’t get massive overhauls every expansion.
From my experience from running high-ish keys in BfA and Shadowlands the Incapacitating Roar was an extremely useful ability, often overlooked by less experienced players. I would prefer keep it on ALT. Moonfire on the other hand could be done without CTRL. My macro now has Moonfire auto casted on new combat, and in the AoE template on new target as well. That means I could make it auto cast on new target in both templates. You would have to target a new enemy or retarget your current one to cast Moonfire. This can be done by pressing Escape once even in single target combat. That would free CONTROL, a very comfortable modifier, to have the ability to control which proc ability to use, Maul or Raze. We can have two templates, they auto select based on content, AoE one in M+ and single target in raid, and you could hold CTRL (or to be precise have it held by widows accessibility functions xD) to have single target rotation on bosses in M+ and AoE in raid. This would also play nicely with having CTRL+SHIFT use the damage ability instead of Ironfur, if that function is still wanted by you guys. Not so sure with Thorns of Iron these days. CTRL+SHIFT is not a super comfortable modifier but it is there as an option.
Cast Moonfire with escape and use CTRL for Raze/Maul switch?
Anybody can post anything they want mate. You can certainly find same text that is in my macro on the Internet, maybe not all of it and not in the same order, but nothing is original. Just because I put these symbols in this specific order doesn’t make them or me any special. We can all appreciate great works of amazing authors like Pratchett, Asimov, Tolkien, Clarke and their masterpieces, but they have no say over their work the second it goes public. I don’t believe in such things as authorship based art ownership, and corporations holding a monopoly over intellectual properties robs us all of incredible fan created experiences we could have had.
