Wenlo - The Way of the Ox : A Raid and Mythic+ Build for Midnight BrewMaster Monk

Casting KegSmash and BreathofFire doesn’t work for me. Has something been changed, or have I done something wrong?

You may be spamming too fast, it needs enough energy to cast

That sounds a bit hard to believe. Even on my healer spec, I can reach 32 stacks. What’s your item level?

i copied ur talents and the gse code but it wont cast breath of fire and keg smash for me :frowning:
right now i press breath and keg smash manually and start dying at 11 stacks. My Item Level is currently 125.

EDIT :

Okay, I found the error. I play WOW in German, and for some reason, the macro didn’t translate the spells Keg Smash and Breath into German, so they couldn’t be recognized.

I just set the game to English to test it, and lo and behold, it works!
Just spamming one button and reached 13 stacks before dying.

That’s weird. Is your game set to English? Also, could you share a screenshot of the sequence opened?
I just recorded a video of me solo tanking the first pack in a Mythic +17 while testing both sequences, and they both worked perfectly in my side.

Just saying you know you’re bad ass if you can pull off what Wenlo does. Keep them coming

Haha, thanks  After few attempts, I managed to clear that damn pack. Monk tank feels so strong on the pre-patch.

With the recent changes regarding talents, do you have an updated talent code? I’m not a fan of how top heavy they made all the talent trees across the classes :grimacing:

Talent tree has been fixed :ok_hand:

Is there a way to use purifying brew and touch of death manually?
I have tried blocking both paths, but that makes it that the sequence wont fire correctly.

It will keep using only tigar palm and blackout kick after a while.

Wich sequence you use ? I can make one who manage only the dps part without the rest

The shadowpan build!

Try the first sequence now (The one who manage only the dps part)

Brewmaster Feedback – Small Update After More Testing

Normally I don’t really leave comments on sequences…
but this one genuinely deserves it.

What you’ve built here is impressive. Huge respect for the work and attention behind it — it really shows.

That said, after a bit more testing I wanted to add a small update.

Keg Smash Priority

Sometimes I find myself completely energy starved, which means Keg Smash doesn’t fire — especially on smaller pulls (under 6–7 targets).

Since Keg Smash is such a big part of both our damage and defensives, it feels really important that it’s used as consistently as possible.

If there’s a way to hard-prioritize or “force” Keg Smash” more aggressively in the sequence, that would be ideal.

Shado_Pan_Pure_DPS Observation

It actually feels like Shado_Pan_Pure_DPS handles the flow a bit better overall somehow.
The issue seems to show up more when the target count is low.

I’m wondering if this smooths out more once we get Apex Talents online.

Tiger Palm Starvation

One thing I noticed: the sequence sometimes feels starved because of Tiger Palm being used quite often.

It sounds funny at first — but if you think about it:

  • Keg Smash reduces Brews more effectively
  • Tiger Palm doesn’t bring the same value in that regard

So when Tiger Palm takes too much space in the loop, it can actually delay the more impactful buttons.

Overall, still excellent work.
Just sharing these observations in case there’s room to refine the priority flow even further.

Thank you appreciate it!

Thanks for the feedback, but there are basically only two choices, you will have to deal with occasional energy starvation (wich happen with sequence or not its part of energy class gameplay), or accept the 1–2 second downtime in the Keg / Fire / BoK / TP rotation when Keg Smash is on cooldown. After testing both heavily the double Tiger Palm variant gave the best DPS results.
The only alternative would be using Rushing Jade Wind to fill those gaps by adding an extra activable spell, but then you lose AoE damage and utility from not taking Special Delivery (wich is better damage wise than the rushing jade wind)

I see — in that case, I’m honestly really happy with it.

I’m definitely going to test this heavily now and especially in Midnight since it’s my main. I’ll probably try the other specs too at some point.

Seriously though, amazing work. My damage in keys has gone up so much since I started using the sequence — I’m even competing with the DPS on some pulls now, sometimes for the whole pack.

Great job

@bonal_lucas I am playing on a 141 ilvl monk and i think i should reach more than 25 stacks but i am dying at 25. My crit is 37%, Haste is 16, Mastery is 26 and vers is 18. I also want to point out that i play with 140 ms. I am also using the push mouse button macro on 100 ms. Help would be really appreciated. Thank you so much for this macro. I am still doing +12 with easy with this baby <3

Your not the first one who tell me that, but i tanked 30 stack as healer spec and 120+ as tank, i really dont get it how people die before as tank, i gonna try with an 100 ilvl monk later to see if its that gear dependant
