I’ve not yet done any instancing on this character, so I have no idea. At this point, I’m slightly afraid of doing so until I figure this out. It’s annoying to pull the wrong mob, but not fatal. That’s often not true in a dungeon. )

Nevermind, I figured it it out. It was a problem with my keyboard.
(I recently replaced my Logitech G910 with a Corsair K70, and the repeating key programming is a bit different, plus it doesn’t have dedicated macro keys. I had remapped my two main attack keys onto F1 and F2, and didn’t notice it had an option by default that said “Retain Original Key Output”. So every time I pushed F1, it not only ran my repeating key script, it also sent an F1 to the game.
So what would happen is I’d press the key, it would target myself, and then the /startattack would jump to the nearest non-friendly target, whoever that might be.
I knew it had to be something in my config. I just was looking at the wrong config.

No it’s not, i also been fishing for a 3rd piece for a while now
until i talked to Asbo, i didnt know about that trait. as i get replacement pieces, i look for it, that is why i asked if its a certain iLvl that gets it. cuz at the moment i have 2 450s and a 435 on and as of yet, i have not gotten a drop that has that trait on it.

hello abs i’m testing your new versions currently seem to go well, for aoe is perfect i do a huge dps, but most likely also depends on the factor that i have a lot of mastery, for singol idem even if i don’t know if it goes 100%. simmando my pg says i should do 70k singol target my dps to the dummy is attested with a burst opening 70k to go down then fixed to 40-45k some more tips?

Multi-Shot is never worth it. If you have extra Focus to spend, you are better off casting Cobra Shot.

@Fluffel as far as I know, there is no way to apply the first rule in a macro. But for the second one, you could do like I do and make a /cast [mod:shift] Multi-Shot in the keypress section and hold shift (or whatever mod you set it to) every 3-4 seconds. That way, the macro keeps spending your focus on cobra shot if you dont hold your mod.

This is, how I’m doing for the moment. But I wanted asbo to know this also because the AOE Macro is spamming Multishot. I’m trying to maximize my output due to M+ and Hc/Mythic Raiding And this Macro is by far one of the best/s. Last Phrases on HC-Difficulty were very bad, but I thought its cuz of my crit.
My SIM-DPS on Raidbots told me, that I’m doing about 68k DPS raid buffed. In Reality, it was never more then ~50k I know, I know SIMs are only theoretical, but for me, and after evaluating my logs I identified some reasons, why I don’t reach about 10k more, what’s realistic.

so reading the various responses, the 100% perfect macro would be to launch maximum 2 cobra shots and 1 kill command always in order to have the coldow perfectly balanced and maximized.
example :
kill command, cobra shot, cobra shot (reset 100% kill command) and kill command ?
up to here I’d say that we’re here and good or bad new macros tend to do this. the problem in my opinion, however, lies in other factors and that is:
when to use perfectly bestial wrath (should always be used at coldow base) so I don’t know if there is a more effective way, use aspect of wilde (usually you use it at the boss raid/mityc pull or when there is a huge amount of aoe) finally use effectively the essences of the heart.

First off, Icy Veins rotations are JUST a starting point…nothing more. If you try to stick to those rotations as your stats and gear improve you will be hamstringing yourself.
Secondly, the same goes for Essences. The essence setups ( which btw are from Bloodmallet ) are a baseline setup…go ahead, look up my toon " Wombshifter - Suramar " then go check out wow progress…I DO NOT adheare to any off those setup and I sim around 53k at 455 ilvl and on raid bosses I am pulling between 47-50k.
I did try going strictly by what was said for trinks / essences / azerite traits and was struggling to pull off 38k
The only thing that will work is CONSTANTLY simming your toon.

I think the ideas behind the rotation tipps of Icy came from Theorycrafting and Simulations. For sure, you are right SIMing and trying what’s the best for you, and your playstyle is right. But i think Bloodmallet is a very accurate source of informations. I compare my SIMs with real logs of players who defeat the encounters im struggling with. [warcraftlogs.com] In nearly all of the cases, they are using trinkets/traits/rotations that are in the sims of Bloodmallet. Icy also supports the class-discord channels and it’s mods are in contact with the guidewriters there. Sometimes they are the same person. But that’s not the point.
I have mend pet ability on a separate key bind and when the pet dies it automatically switches to revive pet so I just hit the same key. Maybe this will help
have you read the news for macros? it seems that there are now the possibilities to put the line /cast pause it also seems to work properly, I’ll try to see how it works when I can figure out how to use it
Sim with buffs off. You could be dimming with buffs on. I sim for 55k unbuffed and on dummy I pull 52k
