Celbone's Shadow Priest Mythic and Raid Sequences - TWW 11.1

Hello There Friends,

Enjoying? How about support the work?
By Me a Coffee!

With you, the sequence for Shadow Priest, Archon and Voidweaver, Builds!

First things first!

IMPORTANTE NOTE: My Sequence does not include Vampiric Touch nor Shadow Word: Death in it’s rotation, those are spells very situational if you miss Shadow Crash or need to apply DoTs on target, same thing for SWD during execute phase, dps wise leaving those out of the automatic equation is the best option. Apply Vampiric Touch and use Shadow Word: Death yourself (version 3 have modifier)

Sequence Version 1 (MYTHIC+ ARCHON) and 2 (DELVES and OPEN WORLD VOIDWEAVER):
ALT: Shadow Crash on target
CTRL: Power Infusion on mouseover (if only using the sequence cast)
SHIFT: Mass Dispel on cursor

Sequence Version 3 (VOIDWEAVER):
ALT: Shadow Word: Death
CTRL: Power Infusion (if only using the sequence cast)
SHIFT: Mass Dispel on cursor

VERY IMPORTANT POWER INFUSION USAGE
I do use a macro to get the name of my PI target, that said, the macro I use for it have 2 parts, 1 to collect the name and another to use PI with that collected player’s name.

  • How to use it
  1. Copy and paste the macro below:
    1.1.
/run local n=UnitName("target") or "player" if not InCombatLockdown() then EditMacro(GetMacroIndexByName("PI"),nil,nil,"#showtooltip\n/cast [@mouseover,help,nodead][@"..n.."] Power Infusion\n/cast Power Infusion") print("PI cast on "..n) end
  1. Select your PI Target, click the MACRO you created above, it does need to be in your action bars somewhere, now PI usage macro will have that player as main target and no mouseover exists.

  2. Now, you gotta have this macro for actual usage of PI, and you need to name it PI, copy and paste the macro below:
    3.2 Save this macro as new, it’ll be your Power Infusion button, also need to be in your action bars somewhere.
    3.1

#showtooltip
/cast [@mouseover,help,nodead][@] Power Infusion
/cast Power Infusion

What happens all the above? Macro 1 will collect the name of the player, no matter what that name is and what characters the player used, very easy to pick a target that way, it will also edit the macro created as “PI”. Macro “PI” will use Power Infusion on that collected target, if that target is not available you can mouseover a new target, if none of those options is available, then the macro will cast Power Infusion on you.

You don’t think it is good or it is not of your liking? No worries, I got you, all versions of the sequence does have the MOUSEOVER option, so if you want only the sequence to cast PI and don’t want to press any other macro for it, then MOUSEOVER your PI target holding CTRL key until it fire off.

This is it folks, let me know how it goes, feedbacks are always welcome.

Enjoying so far? How about support the work?
By Me a Coffee!

The Archon version works perfectly for me.
But the 2 other versions have some issues, it just start doing something, and then just stops and pauses for a long time, before doing anything again. so long that the details meter resets

Hi Cronnax,

May I ask for more information?

What are your MS ?
Can you share your Details log hitting a dummie ?
Did you reloadui after changing specs?
Have you changed the option for default version under GSE sequence page?
(dum question) Your GSE is updated?

Thanks in advance mate, as soon as you get me those information I’ll work on this issue.

@Cronnax thanks for your feedback

Updated posted!

Changelog:

Sequence Versions 1 and 2:

  • Was able to recreate what was stoping the sequence, got it fixed;
  • Reordered the casts and added conditions to verify PROC versus NON-PROC version of some spells;
  • Vampiric Touch is still out of the sequence, it was not doing good in there, manually apply and reapply it.

Sequence Version 1:

  • A small tunning for better rotation.

Hey there - just some initial feedback and THANKS for your work on this :slight_smile:

I want to get this macro working because I have a complex fight atm I could use with the mental downtime lol.

It doesn’t seem to use Vampiric Touch at all in your [3] sequence. I can’t see it in the sequence code either. I see you answered this above - the problem with that is that it’s a huge DPS loss as isn’t just used on cooldown. Wonder is there a way to fix that.

It also fails to use Shadow Word: Death in a timely manner.

For context, at 142ms, this does between 1/2 to 1/3 of my sim damage on a ST.

Hi @Xerraphim,

My sequence does not include: Vampiric Touch nor Shadow Word: Death!

Why is that? Well, dps wise those are the most situational spells in your card, you should pre-cast Vampiric Touch before pull and if using sequences v2 and v3, whenever you need an opener, a filler or a refresh. Same idea works for Shadow Word: Death, as you need to cast it when insanity needs a refill or to execute during burst.

Btw, v3 does includes Shadow Word: Death on ALT modifier, with extra condition for mouseover.

The way Shadow Crash works now, it is easy to miss some mobs during a pull, so I use VT out of the sequence to mouse over and apply dots, and SWD for me is only on execute, therefore I have it on one of my buttons for a hard cast situation.

Its of no use, to include a 3 min dummy result, if you dont include the same 3 min fight result from raidbots for comparison.

Hi @fragnot ,

Hope everything is going ok, about the comparison, in all my builds the sym from raidbots are oscilating from 87% to 93%, I only post the dummie testing to get the details log as evidence that the sequence is working. Testing it during a dungeon run or similar situation is the best anyways, right? At least for me, that is what makes sense. If for you the raidbots or other kind of comparison is what makes more sense, please be my guest and test it for yourself, let us know how it went.

Anyway, figure it would make no harm to run a quick sim and clear it out right?

Cheers!

Okay, so i have tryed it for a few days now, and my raidbots sim says my char should be able to do 4m dps over a 3 min test.
When i test on dummies for 3 min i get 2.17m.
Can you share how u set up your gse? AutoClikker or binding to a keybind on mouse for macro or keyboard for pressing manuel? and do you have ActionButtonUseKeyDown Checked or unchecked?
Would you be able to share a bit about how you do for getting 87-93% of sim?
And what ms you using?

Hi @Cronnax,

GSE configurations for me are rather basic:

  1. All options reset on out of combat (except the key combinations) are checked
  2. KeyDown is unchecked
  3. Keybind is set for MOUSEWHEELUP, linking sequence+talent
  4. MS set to 200 (a safe limit considering the amount of iterations the sequence will execute, respecting the 319 max)

Update posted!

Changelog:

Version 1 - rotation improvement, now Void Bolt cast increased;
Version 1 - Trinkets usage were removed from the sequence, until I get the prime BiS, I’ll not add it;

Version 3 - Fixed some hickups and rotation stucking after Dark Ascension.

Issues I’m working on:

Version 2 - Mind Spike and Mind Spike: Insanity are not being cast at all, this kinda happened after the GSE last update, still trying to figure out what it is;

On version 1 after a time the macro just stops, after pushing some buttons myself it goes on.
On a 3 minute testing it stopped 5 times.

And with a gear of 647 i cant go above 1 mil of dps on a target dummy.

Hi Horvath,

Do you mind sharing the log? And if possible, the report from an addon called SImple Spell Tracker?

I can check what is happening with you, just for the record, I’m using this macro on keys 6 to 8 with no problems so far.

Btw, have you did a quick check on keybinds ? Some times ALt something is a keybind already existing and that stops the sequence rotation a bit.

For version 2, I’m still trying to figure why Mind Spike is not firing at all.

Update Posted!

Finally was able to figure out why the sequence version was not firing skills!

I’m really dumb!

For whatever content you doing, please change TALENTS and VERSIONS before using the automation:

Changelog:

All Versions: Picking the right version according to talents using, everything will work as it should.

Versions 2 and 3: Rotation improvements for both, RAID talents still very dependent on Gear, the DPS overall is 900k-1M on single target dummie and it is very close to the simulation
