IM SHADY Raid 3 Button Macro Updated for 2.6.40+ 1/16/21

The raid macro was updated to work with the new inner loop limit requirements

This set up contains 3 macros to be used in combination. There is IM_SHADY_RAID, IM_SHADY_BURST, and IM_SHADY_OPENER. With support for all covenants and option to not use covenant abilities aswell.
This setup should give good results but you have to do alittle work with it.

At 1.5 seconds before pull start spamming IM_SHADY_OPENER. If you are Venthyr When Mindgames is casting switch to spamming IM_SHADY_BURST instead. If your not Venthyr when Devouring Plague is casting switch to spamming IM_SHADY_BURST. When Voidform falls off Switch to spamming IM_SHADY_RAID.
For the opener to work all skills must be off cooldown. Usually when in raids thats the case when at bosses. If you have a skill on cooldown you can just start fight with IM_SHADY_RAID and then switch to IM_SHADY_BURST when your want to activate Void Eruption. It works best to use the burst macro when you have +40 insanty and your dots where recently refreshed. The macros are setup to not use Void Torrent while in Voidform. That is aslong as you are spamming the Burst macro during Voidform. If you start spamming the burst macro while channeling Void Torrent it will cancel it so dont start spamming burst if casting Void Torrent.

I could use some feedback about the macros from non Venthyr players. Especially Kyrian. Im not sure how well the macro will work with them. I tried writing it so it wont spam Ascended Nova but i cant test that.

I use the single target boss fights talents for all.

Use this macro while not in voidform and for trash. Holding alt will fill with Mind Sear. On trash i just dot all then hold alt while spamming this macro.

First for all 3 macros change the version to the version listed for your covenant.

At 1.5 seconds before pull start spamming IM_SHADY_OPENER. If you are Venthyr When Mindgames is casting switch to spamming IM_SHADY_BURST instead. If your not Venthyr when Devouring Plague is casting switch to spamming IM_SHADY_BURST. When Voidform falls off Switch to spamming IM_SHADY_RAID. When Void Eruption comes back off cooldown start spamming IM_SHADY_BURST again.For the opener to work all skills must be off cooldown. Usually when in raids thats the case when at bosses.

Basiclly start fight with open. Use burst for activating void eruption and while in voidform. Use raid for trash and while not in voidform.

its not this set up is focused around pure single target boss dps. Im open to input though as i dont raid much only did 4 bosses on normal just run lfr to testing.

If you want to add it to the raid macro put /cast [channeling:Mind Sear,talent:3/3,mod] Searing Nightmare at the bottom of keypress. That way when your spamming the macro while holding alt to mind sear it will spam SN when you have the instanity.

Most of the logic is in the post-macro (vs sequence). What is the reasoning there?
Again it works, but i don’t know why - i thought a priority setting with inner loop of ‘null’ would only ever go through the post-macro once. So my guess is that your raid macro would spam Vam Touch - but it doesn’t.

anyway - just want to say after some limited testing it appears to be working well (other than the LUA erros) - but i frankly don’t understand it.

yes its updated and used the ‘test’ function on the variable and it returred ‘void torrent’ - so it was correct, but still giving me errors when i ran it.
could be a conflct with another addon i have (i run a fair amount)…anyway, looks like its my problem not yours.

I’m going to try to tweak it manually refresh dots with modifiers…i’m fine with initial application, but pandemic dot management is pretty important to keeping DPS up (and not refreshing too early or missing it)

I use the kyrian version , and i feel when you are in Boon of the Ascended, the macro dont cast enought Ascended Blast, because many times have the skill ready and dont cast and the boon of the ascended finish with only 1 or 2 cast or blast

If that does not help im thinking we remove the mind flay sequence from the kyrian version. If i remember right the cooldown of blast and voidbolt are so low you almost have no need to use mind flay. Only time this could be negative is when your using the burst macro when ascended blast is not on cooldown

oky i test , now i know the ascendend blast have a CD of 2.5 seconds, Boon of the Ascendend have 10 secs, i test manually and i can cast 5 ascendend blast( i have 18 % of haste), i think in two improvements use manually dots of SP and with a alt mod use the Ascended blast each is ready in burst macro, i dont know how do that but i feel is the better performance n.n
