all cooldown should be used when needed, normally during bossfight every 45 seconds. some weakauras to show them would be helpful, can be found on wago.io. in practical use you can put the single target macro to button 1 on your actionbar. then you put the cooldown to another button that uses alt+1. when the macro is used and cooldown should be used, you just hold alt and wait until all cooldowns are used and then release it until you need it again. when you put the aoe or soul reaper to other buttons, just add the combination to the same cooldown button (e.g. alt+2,alt+3) and you always press the same.
I guess what we are not understanding is why they are not part of one macro. TBH anything under a 3 min CD can be included in a macro. Most trash pacts take that long and easier to press one button than to juggle two. Just my two cents.
From performance standpoint, make no sense to put spells in a macro that cannot be used because they are on cooldown. Everytime GSE is cycling through the macro and try to use a cooldown, which is not ready you do nothing. You need to wait until something will be used that is not on cooldown. That will create downtime, which is bad for the DPS. You can adjust the macro as much as you want and include all cooldowns, but my versions will always be seperated.
I have tried and tested this macro, only on target dummies for now as my DK is not geared enough to enjoy doing in M+ though it achieved over 200k AOE dps by assigning both macros to buttons 2 + 3 and pressing them together, effectively spamming the CD’s as well as the rotation. The dps did drop to a steady 170k, however, my DK is only Ilvl 425 and the gear is not specific, no gems, enchants and stats likely aren’t proper for the spec… so I would say this macro would slap with the right gear and high enough ilvl
Here is one that I was messing with before I knew which class I was going to play for this raid tier (ENH Sham). Feel free to rename and adjust it to make it better. This was a crude starter, I used the wowhead rotation guide and sims to get it to about 5-10k under ST SIMs. This is ment to be used in M+, no diff really between ST and AOE. I should also say not bashing your macro at all, we all put in the work to just help the community, just trying to lend a hand.
There is a better solution. Lets say you have the main macro on the button 1 on your actionbar. Then put the cooldown macro also on the bar with the shortkey shift+1. When you run the macro and need the cooldown you just press shift. always works because the hotkey is set in wow.
Heyas! Just wanted to stop by and say I love your Unholy macros. I used it back in Shadowland days for raiding Castle Nathria and was always top 2 on the DPS. I’ve been away from the game for a long while and just now returning, was trying to figure out what class to play, but might land on DK again. Love the lore, and the skulls and evilness of the class. Looking forward to testing out your macro and seeing how it holds up compared to Shadowlands!
