hey Enix awesome job on the macro thanks alot. only issue i see there sometimes it cast vampiric touch 3 or 4 times in a row …is that intended ? i also remove the alt mod cuz i thought that was the problem but still doing it but again it does that sometime to time . im using a ahk with 50ms.
Where’s a good place to add shadow crash to the macro? I’d like to experiment with it.
That’s a bug that’s been around since Legion and isn’t at all associated with GSE (though a future version of GSE might allow me to fix it in some way). For some reason, Vampiric Touch can get caught in a loop when it’s in any macro, even if that macro has null at the end of it, and even with pure in-game macros.
Depends on your priority with it. The higher its importance, higher in the macro it goes. I would recommend putting it below Void Eruption. Also, remember to put it at @cursor, otherwise it won’t work.

What do you do to fix it when you are playing and it just starts to spam VT?
I stop and start over. I see the VT getting ready to cast, I move or jump, and then start over. Usually, it moves on to the next spell, and if it doesn’t it’ll only cast VT once more and move on.
any feedback about % compared to sim?

i been having mixed feeling on this macro… i believe its working decent but i think it may run better.
I’m using Razer Synapses and running most macros at 0.70 ms but i feel that it stops a lot… what i mean is i feel some times its taking to long to cast a MB or to apply a VT on a new target… maybe its just me …
another question is the use of the talents
the currently recommended build is 1111122 but your 1 post with is incredible btw and extremely detailed but a lot of different from the sims recommended
why is that? can you plz explain?

I run my macros at 30ms. I like this speed for myself and it plays nicely with any other macros I have.
My macros are written in Priority, or if they are in Sequential they are written with an in-built priority system. This means that you will have to spam faster than macros that are written in pure Sequential, but the tradeoff is the better use of cooldowns when they are available.

Well, talents are interchangeable. And with how Shadow Priest has been given nerfs and buffs to try to bring it in line with other classes it’s completely likely a talent that was very low now shines a week later. Also, I’ll be honest, but I’m not giving the OP all the attention it deserves right now with the incoming Shadow redesign on its way. When that drops the whole thing will need to be redone.
The macro will work just fine with the talents you listed, and if it happens to perform better than by all means take those talents.

Enix, great work as usual, can you add “Mind Bomb” to the AOE rotation, does not do damage directly but it does help in keeping damage down on allies.
This is a talent that you don’t care is taken but I find that taking Mind Bomb is best in Uldir or at least it helps.

If you want to cast it on cooldown just add the following line anywhere in the main body of the macro
/cast [nochanneling] Mind Bomb
Update: Macros updated and OP updated to match my talent recommendations. It feels super solid to me, and I’ve been playing with exactly what’s here for the better part of a month now with really good results (I’m often the only Spriest in the top 3 of DPS in ST or AoE fights).
This will likely be the last update in Spriest until 8.1 drops.
Hey @EnixLHQ …first of all…love your work and dedication. I’ve recently dusted off my priest after Legion (that expansion was horrible for priests) and decided to jump back in, using your macros. I must say, I am loving what you’ve done with them. I do have a question, however. I use Autokeyboard at 30ms, which works fine…the problem with that is, I can only hot key 1 button or the other. So I would have to tab out to switch between single and AoE macro . I’m curious if you have a AutoHotKey script I can snag from you. I have bad carpel tunnel in my left hand so, getting to those mod buttons is kind of tricky. Any assistance would greatly be appreciated and as always…keep up the great work <3
I do not. I don’t use AHK at all. However, we do have an AHK channel on our discord hosted by a guy who knows his stuff really well, so I’m sure you can find exactly what you are looking for there.
Patch 8.1! Want some good news?
No changes are necessary to my macro or my talent suggestions. All that we were already using were either buffed or left alone, and so you should only see gains in keeping things the way they are.
One thing that did open up for us was a choice between Auspicious Spirits vs Shadow Word: Death. Now it just comes down to your fight. Boss with a large “execute” phase? Death. All other cases take Auspicious Spirits.
Heho @EnixLHQ I have one the Major problem with all SP Macros here in the Forum that i only deal around 8k Single Target DPS, i dont know why i have 382 Ilvl with 24% Crit, 19,66% Haste and 13,78% Mastery play with various talents and various gear, but i dont geht over 8/9K DPS. Maybe you have time to write in Discord or sth. like this to help me out with my issue…sorry for my english im from germany ;> Anyway thanks for your work
Can someone help me out? I’ve always just manually tapped – and after raid the last couple of weeks, my DPS isn’t where I should be. I have a Razer Naga, and a Logitech G910 Keyboard. What do I need software wise or whatever to set my MS and have it done just on one keypress? :l (if that makes sense)

Can i please have the previous version from 8.0, it worked wonders while leveling but i deleted it to test the new version at max level pvp and forgot to save the old macro

I use Punchkey Ver 7.0
I found an older version for free a long time ago which worked fine, but decided to support the dev and pay the $7 for this one. It’s very easy to use and works great. No scripting required like with AHK. It has a virtual keyboard and you select which buttons you want on repeat then select the speed to repeat them. EZ
