Goal: 2 button rogue for fast grinding or relatively easy single target PVE/PVP

Explanation: The combat routine revolves around two buttons (or 3 with kidney shot). The user keeps an eye on the combo points and decides when to optimally execute finishers. The routines will use all available cooldowns in the proper stances. Opener is typically a cheap shot. Put Kidney shot on another button as stuns increase damage in this sequence.

Reason: Rogues have a variable flow to their combat routine, this is due to random procs that give sometimes drastically more combo points. An optimal one button rotation therefore is impossible! I dont like putting the vial on the rotation as it is more energy that could be used elsewhere for bursts.

Stealth > Enter Combat > Pop cooldowns > Shadowstep > Cheapshot/Shadowstrike > Shadowdance (if not in stealth), Shadowstrike (or backstab if not in stealth)

Eviscerate, Nightblade, Eviscerate on rotation

  • When Shadowstep is on cooldown, sometimes Shadowstrike will not activate (out of combat). This forces you to manually close the distance between you and the target.

Sorry to hear it isnt working for you, are you running the latest build of GSE? It seems to be working fie for everyone else.

Do you have the same spec as listed in the Macro? The opener is stealth then shadowstep to cheapshot. If you dont have shadowstep you cant engage cheapshot.

I like the macro but something is spending my points in the builder. In other words I can’t build up points lots of times as they are being spent. Any ideas?

Dont know where that is happening, there are no combo spending items in the builder. It literally chooses between cheapshot, shadowstrike and backstab depending on your stance.

The “fight sequence” you should be going through is click builder (makes you enter stealth) click again and you should engage combat with a shadowstep and cheap shot (two combo points) once more for 4-5 combo points. then click spender macro.

Thank you for your effort. I found that it did work, though at about 20% less DPS than manually doing it. It had the issue of random finisher procs which I felt was letting it down. This however (as stated in OP) cannot be avoided.

If this remix works for you I do invite you to use it.
